1. Aluminum Panels & Curtain Walls (Q1–Q12)
How much does aluminum cladding cost per square meter?
Four variables that determine your aluminum panel price
Aluminum panels are not a commodity — pricing depends on four variables: (1) Thickness — 1.5mm / 2.0mm / 2.5mm / 3.0mm, each 0.5mm step adds ~$2-3/sqm; (2) Alloy grade — 3003 standard vs 5005 high-strength vs 6063 structural; (3) Surface finish — powder coating < PVDF fluorocarbon < wood grain transfer < anodized; (4) Quantity — sample pricing vs batch pricing vs project pricing. Send us your drawings or area estimate, and we will return a precise quotation within 2 hours.
How do I know the aluminum panel isn’t thinner than advertised?
Three ways to verify material thickness — caliper, batch code, stiffener inspection
Three ways: (1) Measure it yourself — bring a caliper. 1.5mm means 1.5mm, tolerance +/-0.02mm. Every batch ships with a mill certificate and thickness test report; (2) Check the back — legitimate factories laser-print production date, batch number, and thickness code on every panel — fully traceable; (3) Look at the stiffeners — large panels must have reinforcing ribs on the back, spaced ≤600mm apart. Panels without stiffeners will warp and bulge within 1-2 years.
How long do aluminum panels last? Will the color fade?
Salt spray test: 500+ hours, zero change. PVDF: 25-year written color warranty.
Powder coating: 15-20 years outdoors under normal conditions. Color begins subtle fading after 5-8 years. We use AkzoNobel / Tiger / PPG branded powders — 500+ hours salt spray tested with zero change. PVDF fluorocarbon: 25-30 years. The coating manufacturer provides a written 25-year color retention warranty. Wood grain transfer: 10-15 years. Outdoor durability depends on the clear protective film. Note: Acid rain zones, chemical plants, and seafront within 500m require PVDF or specialized anti-corrosion specifications.
Can you manufacture from my drawings? What file formats do you accept?
Free shop drawings within 24-48 hours — DWG, DXF, PDF, or even a photo with measurements
Custom manufacturing from your design is our core business. Accepted formats: DWG/DXF (CAD), PDF, images + hand sketches, even a photo with measurements. Within 24-48 hours of receiving your drawings, we produce shop drawings (unfolded panel layout + installation node details). You approve, we produce. No drawings? We offer free on-site measurement within Guangdong Province, or video-guided measurement for projects elsewhere.
What’s the minimum order quantity? Do you take small projects?
From 10sqm sample batch to container-load project supply — we scale with you
Yes. Sample / small batch: 10-50sqm accepted — unit price slightly higher but reasonable. Suitable for villas, shop renovations. Project bulk: 300sqm+ unlocks significant volume pricing. We don’t discriminate by order size — today’s small job is tomorrow’s key account. Many of our 10-year clients started with a few dozen square meters.
Does aluminum cladding rust? Can it be used at the seaside?
Marine-grade aluminum cladding: Maldives, Thailand, Dubai beachfront projects — zero corrosion
Aluminum doesn’t rust like steel, but it does oxidize without proper protection. We apply three layers: (1) Pretreatment — degreasing, acid etching, chromate conversion coating; (2) Primer — epoxy zinc-rich primer (PVDF system); (3) Topcoat — PVDF fluorocarbon or powder. Within 500m of coastline: we recommend 2.5mm+ thickness + PVDF + enhanced chromate treatment. Lifespan matches inland performance. We have reference projects in the Maldives, Thailand, and Dubai beachfront.
What’s the production lead time? Can you rush an order?
Six production checkpoints. Weekly progress photos sent every Friday.
Standard: 15-25 days (from drawing approval). Rush: 10-12 days (10-15% surcharge). Very large orders (5,000sqm+): phased delivery — first batch 15 days, subsequent batches every 7 days. Every Friday we send production progress photos covering six checkpoints: cutting → bending → welding → grinding → coating → packing.
Is aluminum panel installation difficult? Do you handle installation?
Dry-hang bracket + sub-frame system. 30-50sqm per person per day.
Panels use a bracket + sub-frame dry-hang system. A professional facade installation crew of 2-3 people can complete 30-50sqm per person per day. We don’t directly provide installation labor — but we supply, free of charge: installation node drawings + sub-frame layout drawings + bracket position drawings + installation guide video. Need an installer in your city? We can recommend partner crews.
Will the cut-out patterns on decorative laser-cut panels deform?
CNC fiber laser cutting: 0.1mm precision. 300+ free decorative patterns available.
No. We use CNC fiber laser cutting with 0.1mm precision. Immediately after cutting, panels undergo stress-relief treatment to maintain flatness. When the open area exceeds 40%, we recommend upgrading thickness (2.0mm → 2.5-3.0mm) and adding localized stiffeners behind the cut-out zones. Send us your vector file (AI/CDR/DXF), or choose from our library of 300+ free decorative patterns.
How are backlit LED aluminum panels powered? What if an LED strip fails?
LED replacement: open access hatch, swap strip, 5 minutes. No panel removal needed.
Backlit panels use low-voltage 12V/24V LED strips, connected via pre-installed waterproof junction terminals to an external power supply. LED strips are mounted in dedicated tracks behind the panel — replacement does NOT require removing the entire panel. Open the access hatch (we design it into the layout), pull out the old strip, insert a new one — 5 minutes. LED lifespan: 30,000-50,000 hours (~5-8 years of nighttime use).
What’s the limit for double-curved / free-form aluminum panels?
Double-curve forming: 2.0mm stretches ~15%, 3.0mm ~10%. Any geometry achievable.
Single-curved (one direction): any radius, accuracy +/-1mm. Double-curved (two directions): we use CNC multi-point forming + manual fine-tuning — achievable for most architectural curves. Material limits: 2.0mm sheet can stretch ~15%, 3.0mm sheet ~10%. Beyond that, we use segmented拼接. The most complex projects: spherical facade (3m radius, 12 segments), wave-form ceiling (500sqm, every panel a different curvature).
Solid aluminum panel vs aluminum composite panel (ACP) — which is better?
Solid aluminum (left) vs ACP (right): thickness, fire rating, lifespan comparison
Solid aluminum panel: single sheet of aluminum alloy, 2.0-3.0mm thick, Class A fire rating, high strength, 30-year lifespan, higher cost. For facades, ceilings, exterior cladding. Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP): two thin aluminum skins (0.2-0.5mm) sandwiching a PE plastic core, total 3-4mm, Class B fire rating, lower strength, 10-15 year lifespan, 30-50% cheaper. In short: Exterior = solid aluminum (safety + longevity). Interior budget = ACP acceptable. We don’t manufacture ACP.
